What this feature does

Reporting & Analytics provides location-scoped reports for shortages, subscribed product shortages, subscription totals, and aged subscriptions. You can view data for specific store locations or across all locations, with export functionality and persistent filter settings.

How to Use Reporting & Analytics

Step-by-step

Accessing Reports

  1. Go to Reports in the main navigation menu.

  2. Select the type of report you want to view (Shortages, Subscription Totals, Aged Subscriptions).

  3. If you have multiple locations, use the location dropdown to select a specific store.

  4. Use the All Locations filter to view data across all stores.

  5. Your filter selection will persist when navigating between reports.

Viewing Shortages Reports

  1. Select Shortages from the Reports menu.

  2. Choose a specific location or All Locations from the filter.

  3. Review the shortage data showing products that are out of stock.

  4. In "All Locations" view, each shortage record shows the store location.

  5. Export the report using the Export button.

Viewing Subscribed Product Shortages

  1. Select Subscribed Product Shortages from the Reports menu.

  2. Filter by location to see which customers didn't receive their subscribed items.

  3. Review customer names, titles, and shortage details.

  4. Use this report to identify customers who need follow-up or substitutions.

  5. Export the data for further analysis or customer communication.

Viewing Subscription Totals

  1. Select Subscription Totals from the Reports menu.

  2. View total active subscriptions by product or series for the selected location.

  3. Compare subscription numbers across different locations using "All Locations" view.

  4. Use this data to inform ordering decisions and track subscription growth.

  5. Export totals for analysis or reporting to management.

Viewing Aged Subscription Reports

  1. Select Aged Subscriptions from the Reports menu.

  2. Review customers who haven't picked up their books for extended periods.

  3. See customer name, title, last check-in date, and quantity held.

  4. Use this report to identify potentially inactive subscriptions.

  5. Follow up with customers or consider subscription management actions.

Exporting Reports

  1. Set your desired location filter (specific location or "All Locations").

  2. Click the Export button on any report page.

  3. For single location exports, data includes only the selected store.

  4. For "All Locations" exports, data includes a Location column identifying each store.

  5. Download the CSV file for further analysis or record keeping.
