What this feature does

Initial Orders & FOC Orders provides location-scoped order management for both initial orders and final order cutoff orders. You can view, edit, and submit orders for specific store locations, or use the "All Locations" filter for oversight across all stores. Order history is available for analyzing past performance and making informed ordering decisions.

When to use it

  • When placing initial orders for new comic releases

How to Use Initial Orders & FOC Orders

Step-by-step

Managing Initial Orders

  1. Go to Ordering → Initial Orders to access the Initial Orders page.

  2. Select a specific store location from the location dropdown (if you have multiple locations).

  3. Review the list of titles, publishers, distributors, and current order quantities.

  4. Adjust order quantities and add notes as needed for the selected location.

  5. Use the All Locations filter for a read-only overview across all stores.

  6. Export order data using the Export button (scoped to selected location).

  7. Submit orders when ready (only available for specific location views).

Managing FOC Orders

  1. Go to Ordering → FOC Weekly to access the FOC orders page.

  2. Select a specific store location to view and edit FOC orders for that location.

  3. Review FOC titles, quantities, and any adjustments made.

  4. Modify order quantities and add notes as needed (only in specific location view).

  5. Use All Locations filter for read-only oversight across all stores.

  6. Search and filter by title, distributor, or publisher within the selected location.

  7. Finalize and submit FOC orders for the selected location to distributors.

Viewing Order History

  1. Go to Ordering → Order History to access historical order data.

  2. Select a specific location to view past orders and leftover quantities for that store.

  3. Use All Locations filter to see combined order history across all stores.

  4. Review past order quantities and leftover inventory data.

  5. Analyze historical data to inform future ordering decisions.

  6. Export order history data for further analysis or record keeping.

Using All Locations View

  1. Select All Locations from the location filter on any ordering page.

  2. View combined data from all store locations with clear location identifiers.

  3. Note that editing is disabled in "All Locations" view (read-only).

  4. Use this view for oversight and comparison across all stores.

  5. Export data includes location identifiers for each item.

  6. Switch back to specific location view to make edits or submit orders.

What you should see

  • Location dropdown filter (hidden for single-location stores)

  • Clear display of selected store name on each ordering page

  • Location identifiers in "All Locations" view showing which store each item belongs to

Troubleshooting
